WHAT IS IT?
Macon County Farm Bureau Ag In The
Classroom (AITC) is your local source for COMPLIMENTARY agriculture-related educational
materials, resources, and programs for you, your classroom, and your community. Here
are some of the things we have to offer:
MATERIALS AND RESOURCES
Ag Mags 4-page,
colorful agricultural magazines for kids. Comparable to Weekly Readers.
AgriLearing
Kits Thematic
kits that offer several hands-on and interactive activities for students in grades preK-3.
Books Covering
a variety of agricultural topics.
mAGic Kits
These
kits offer teachers science experiments and lessons for students in grades 4 - 8.
Resource Guides Materials
and activity ideas are available on many diverse topics.
Videos Titles
are available free on loan.

PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS
Ag Presentations Bring
an Ag in the Classroom representative, a local farmer or agribusiness leader to talk to
your classroom.
Agucation For
5th grade students. Held during National Agriculture Week, students participate
in several hands-on activities during a two-hour tour at Richland Community College. The
program is designed to provide exposure to the many aspects of agriculture.
PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS
Summer Ag Institute
Earn
graduate credit or CPDU's while learning how to incorporate agriculture into your
classroom. Tour area farms and agribusinesses, and leave with LOADS of free educational
materials!
School Workshops Workshops
are customized to the time available and the topic teachers would like to learn more
about.
Tours Work
with Macon County Farm Bureau to create a tour for your students.
