Sefton Memorial Drive
The Emmett Sefton Memorial Drive will be held on Sunday, July 16 (rain date July 23).  The Pony Express grounds in Mt. Zion will be the starting and ending point for the event. Registration will start at 7:30 AM.  Drive will begin at 9 AM.  Any make and model of tractor, car, truck, or motorcycles are welcome to participate. Lunch will be provided.  Donations to the Emmett Sefton Memorial Scholarship fund are greatly appreciated.

Annual Meeting
This year’s Macon County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting is set for Friday, July 28 at 8 a.m. at the Macon County Farm Bureau office.  Voting members in good standing are welcome to attend.

MCFB Member Only Shred Day - June 23 - 7:30 am - 9 am
MCFB office - 1150 West Pershing Road in Decatur
* Members are welcome to bring up to five boxes of materials to shred. (Businesses may NOT participate).
* Participants must donate a minimum donation of five canned goods, which will be donated to the Northeast Community Fund.

Three new board members needed!
We are currently searching for 3 new directors to replace 2 of our outgoing directors due to tenure being completed as well as filling a vacant seat.  We are seeking 2 directors in District 1 (Austin, Friends Creek, Hickory Point, and Maroa Townships) to fill the seats that will be vacated by Pat Malone, along with the additional vacant seat.  We are also seeking a director in District 4 (Blue Mound, Harristown, Illini, Niantic, and Pleasant View Townships) that will fill the seat vacated by Adam Brown.

Thank you to IBEW 146 and WAND News for selecting the Macon County Farm Bureau Foundation as the 3 Degree Guarantee April recipient!  The $950 will help support the Foundation's scholarship and Ag in the Classroom programs. Many thanks!!!

Safety First
The MCFB received a safety grant for the purchase of silicon wedding bands for its Board of Directors to help prevent finger injuries on the farm. The grant was presented by the Illinois Farm Bureau and Country Financial.  Thank you for your continued support of farm safety!

Concert Announcement!!!!!!
The Macon County Farm Bureau welcomes Josh Turner on Friday, September 8 at The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater for a night of country hits. Tickets will range from $29-54 and will be on sale Thursday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at www.etix.com.
