Celebrating the 2022 Macon County Ag Day Baby!!
Addison Lynn Whittington was born on National Ag Day, March 22, 2022, at 12:34 pm at HSHS St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Son of Clayton and Jessica Whittington, she was 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and 21 ½ inches long. She has one big brother, Jackson. The Macon County Farm Bureau congratulated the family with a big basket of gifts. Congratulations on your bundle of joy!

The Macon County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program is celebrating National Ag Day with two HUGE book donations!
Lutheran School Association and South Shores Elementary both received 50+ books to add to their shelves this week. Books are listed on the Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom suggested reading list, plus a few other ag favorites!
*Schools were selected as this year's recipients by having actively participated with this year's Ag in the Classroom program

Thank you to the Decatur Rotary Club #180 for selecting the MCFB Foundation as a $1,000 grant recipient. Funds will support the 2022 Agucation event, which will host over 500 area fifth graders in May to show them ag careers, machinery, farm animals, and more! It is support such as this that allows Ag in the Classroom and our scholarship program to thrive each year. Again, many thanks for your support!

Thanks to Our Lady of Lourdes for hosting Ag in the Classroom today! Seventy first, second and fourth graders learned about all of the farms it takes for just one McDonald's Happy Meal!

Many thanks to Tim Young-COUNTRY Financial for his $500 donation to the Macon County Farm Bureau Foundation! Continued support such as this is what allows the Ag in the Classroom and scholarship programs to flourish in the county. Thanks, Tim!
