Funding provided through a grant from Memorial Medical Center Foundation awarded $10,000 to the Macon County Farm Bureau Foundation to help support both the Ag in the Classroom and scholarship programs. The funds received helped to support the two programs during the 2022-23 school year. Many thanks to the support of the Decatur Memorial Foundation for this opportunity to continue to bring the importance of agriculture to life to the students of Macon County.

Happy National Agriculture Week!
The Macon County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Committee donated over 30 books to both the Decatur Christian School and Hope Academy Elementary school libraries! The two schools were selected as winners of this year's Ag Week book donation by actively participating with the Ag in the Classroom program. The books were selected from the Illinois Ag in the Classroom suggested reading list. Enjoy!!!

We present to you the 2023 National Ag Week Baby, the first Macon County baby born on National Ag Day!
Braxton Camps Norman, Jr., was born March 21, 2023 at 12:48 a.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was 6 lb 14 oz and 19 inches long. Congratulations to proud parents Braxton Norman and Emily Rose of Decatur!
The family was showered with a variety of baby items, including farm books and toys, diapers, a blanket, and of course a cow robe!
Congratulations and best wishes to the family!
